DOCTOR TIM - contacted a track marker entering the first bend after being placed in restricted room to the inside of HA'PENNY (E Johnson), which had also been momentarily crowded when racing to the inside of STEALERS WHEEL (P Ferguson) and FREDASTAIRE (S Abernethy). After reviewing all available footage, Stewards were unable to attribute responsibility for DOCTOR TIM and HA'PENNY being placed in restricted room to any one horse or driver, and accordingly took the matter no further. Over-raced briefly through the middle stages. Shifted outwards near the 1250m, momentarily forcing BLUE CHIP LOU (H Orange) to race wider on the track. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule and after viewing all available films established that driver M Hay had commenced his outward movement prior to BLUE CHIP LOU reaching his sulky wheel, and accordingly no further action was taken. Weakened leaving the final turn.

MYSTERY CREEK - held up final bend and early in the run home. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had questioned driver B Orange regarding his sulky wheel contacting a track marker near the 150m. Mr Orange stated that he had shifted down to the marker line in the run home when a clear run was available, however an outside runner had lay in forcing him inwards onto the track marker. After reviewing the films and hearing from Mr Orange Stewards were satisfied that MYSTERY CREEK had not gained an advantage when contacting the track marker and accordingly all placings were duly authorised.

HEAVEN'S MARK - driver J Morrison defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly by allowing his runner to strike the sulky wheel of BORRISOKANE when shifting ground inwards early in the run home resulting in the tyre being punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Morrison, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Morrison's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 9 October up to and including 14 October 2026 (2 days).
